They were originally released way back in 20, developed by Crystal Dynamics which would further establish its credentials with the impressive reboot of the main 3D series and most recently Marvel’s Avengers. Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light and Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris are arcade-inspired action-adventure games that combine the hallmarks of Tomb Raider, including exploration and discovery, platforming, and puzzle solving, with co-operative multiplayer, character progression and fun fast-paced combat. In a big ol’ press release outlining celebratory events and goodies for Tomb Raider’s 25th Anniversary, Square Enix has confirmed that Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light and Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris will head to Switch in 2022.
Well, technically, though the games in question were actually spin-offs that didn’t bear the IP’s name in the main title. There are some prominent franchises that have so far eluded the Switch, and one that will finally break that streak is Tomb Raider.
